I love snacking! Who doesn’t ?! I snack on nuts during the day, especially before or after a workout.
Almonds are great for you but can become a bit boring after a while – trust me! That’s why I love this recipe – it’s easy, quick to make and it gives an extra kick to the usual almonds. Be careful, they are very spicy!
Serves 4
Ingredients:
175g unsalted, unroasted almonds
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
salt and pepper
Method:
Heat the olive oil in frying pan. Add the cumin, turmeric, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Stir for about 1 minute on a low heat.
Add the almonds and stir for another 4 minutes. Bring to taste with salt and pepper, make sure you keep on stirring as you don’t want it to get stuck to the pan.
When ready, let the almonds cool down on paper towels for about 30 minutes.
