Do you ever feel like you want a fresh new look? Perhaps it is because you (sadly) just broke up with the love of your life, or you just got the keys to your new apartment, or you have a new job or a new lover, so then you are probably craving for a new you and of course a new look. In the following blog I will tell you how to complete the ‘new you’ project without buying a whole new wardrobe.
First of all I would advise you to find out what kind of ‘new you’ you are looking for. Do you want to be more classy? More casual? Or be one of those tomboys? First of all, one of my favorite social media channels is Pinterest, its a online billboard that collects and saves as many pictures as you want, from dogs to Chanel bags or ways to style your hair. Name it, find it and pin it. So let the first project be; finding out what kind of style you are looking for. Secondly, go and try to find as much clothing items as possible to match your new look, you will find out that you have plenty items you can mix and match. For example, the essentials of a wardrobe are basics, so especially do not ditch your sweater you can wear daily and every season, speaking of season, you may wanna pick out all your favorite clothes and basics like a black blazer, skinny jeans, comfy sneakers, black ankle boots, basic shirts black and white or neutral colored items.
Completed the task? Look through the pins or photos you collected for the new look, you will be astonished to find that most of your wardrobe items you wear daily you can mix with your new look.
OK so now last but not least, go online and try to find pieces to match your new look by small changes or details. For example if you love the classy look of Audrey Hepburn, go and look for classic pieces you can wear daily like pearl earrings, black ballerina’s or just a black turtleneck knit, mix these with your favorite jeans and you will look classy with your old you and new you, and you did not even need to spend all that money!
